[hɑːp] High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program(каламбур со словом harp «арфа»)элн физ воен без ХААРП, программа высокочастотных активных авроральных исследований; проект высокочастотного активного исследования авроры. ▫ Программа по исследованию одной из разновидностей геофизического оружия ( Geophysical Weaponry), суть кот. состоит в том, чтобы излучением при помощи гигантских антенных полей влиять на ионосферу. Учёные, работающие над этим проектом, называют аппарат «нагревателем ионосферы». Фактически, HAARP — маскировка проекта создания лучевого оружия ( Ray Weaponry), это передатчик, который можно сравнить с колоссальной микроволновой печью, чьё излучение м. б. сфокусировано практически в любой точке земного шара. Крёстным отцом программы является амер. учёный Бернард Дж.
